Internships, Careers and Placement
The DMU Dubai Student Life team assists students and graduates to make informed career choices by providing professional, high quality careers guidance and information service, including access for all DMU Dubai students to exclusive internship and placement opportunities with global companies and industry partners.
The Student Life team at DMU Dubai works in close partnership with the award-winning DMU Works team at DMU Leicester. DMU Leicester has been named the best university in the UK for helping students build their careers (National Undergraduate Employability Awards, 2021) and students at DMU Dubai benefit from this same commitment to an exceptional programme of career support and industry experience that delivers outstanding results.
DMU Dubai works closely with leading local and international employers to support students in developing the skills they need to maximise their employability. This includes offering guest lectures, careers fairs and insight events organised at our campus throughout the year. These events raise awareness of work experience, internships, and permanent positions available.
At De Montfort University we are focussed on helping our students become adaptable for a fast-changing world. A DMU degree means getting access to experiences that will take you to new places, introduce you to people in successful careers and open up new horizons.
Our teaching and research are closely connected with the world outside university. All students are able to access our unique Internship Preparation Programme, making sure students are workplace ready and confident to succeed in their internship.

Library
The library at DMU Dubai provides necessary reading resources in the form of print and electronic to achieve success in teaching, learning, and research. The library aims to cater to the changing and challenging needs, research assistance, innovative services to the university stakeholders at the right time using the right technology, and make the students and staff feel comfortable in accessing the library resources and spaces.
The Library provides.
- The library at DMU Dubai is built modern with a general reading hall, discussion rooms, quiet study room, and leisure reading area with soft seating and bean bags. The library also has space for think design, brainstorming, strategic planning.
- A good number of print books on computer science and cyber security, psychology, business management, accounting, finance, mechanical engineering, law, interior design, fashion, and English learning for the foundations' programme.
- The operations of print books issue and return are computerized with the facility of online catalogue to check the availability of print books and users account details.
- A wide range of online (electronic) resources are available for students to access remotely at any time. The online resources have access to more than 400,000 e-books.
- Provides access to 32 online databases like EBSCO, Proquest, ACM digital library, Sciencedirect, Oxford law Trove, IEEE xplore, Art and Architecture Archive, etc., which has millions of e-journals, international conference proceedings, financial data, e-magazines, standards, etc.,
- A 32 computer systems and software to access the online resources and to use for their academic purposes.
- A centralized network printing, photocopying and scanning facilities for students to use.
- Extended library opening hours for the benefit of students who reside on the campus and for the evening programme students
- The library ensures the Covid safety protocols provided by the KHDA, Dubai.

DMU Global
DMU global international experiences that push boundaries
DMU Global is an international experience programme for De Montfort University students which aims to enrich studies, broaden cultural horizons and develop key skills valued by employers. Through DMU Global, we offer a wide range of exciting overseas, on-campus and online international experiences for students.
Sports Club and Societies
At DMU Dubai there are sports, clubs and societies for every student, no matter what your interest or ability! And if we don’t yet offer it, we’ll help you to establish your own group and provide you with full support to get up and running successfully.
| Sport at DMU Dubai | We offer a wide range of indoor and outdoor sporting facilities which are used for organised sports and which can also be booked directly by students. The fantastic new facilities offered in Dubai International Academic City park are also accessible to all students and are just moments away from the campus. DMU Dubai students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of competitive and recreational sport, including football, cricket, volleyball and basketball. Our students include national and international sports players – if you play sport competitively and want to study at DMU Dubai, we’ll support you to continue competing whilst also successfully undertaking your studies. If recreational sport without the training and trials is more your thing, then join us for our regular social sporting activities. These are fun and friendly and a great way to stay active.
